Summary Notes for January 26th

A few members are at the behemoth and a few are still outside the mouth of the cave. Joe comes barreling out of the cave still invisible shouting, “He’s Dead, He’s Dead.” Hikari see’s bolts of laser bolts flying down the corridor as hearing Joe’s voice. Flea goes to the mouth of the cave to see what is going on and gets thrown back as Joe comes out of the cave still shouting. Flea says that he not going to be the only one. Joe explains what happened. They throw a rock in the cave to see if the robots are still there. Joe goes back in to get Xestro’s body. He grabs the body by his leg and goes barreling back down the corridor. Hikari and Flea see a decapitated body with one leg up in the air go bouncing out of the cave. They go back to the behemoth and Flea tells everyone that Joe got Xestro dead. Joe tries to defend himself. Billy Bob gets out his camera. All Hikari can do is stare at the sword. Blaze and Allison are questioning the facts. We discuss what we are going to do now and decide to sleep on it. The next morning we go back into the cave to satisfy Hikari’s curiosity. We discover a large room that looks like the control center. We find a large narrow room on the other side of a Plexiglas wall. There is a large cylinder in the room. Allison finds a book that has the myth of the seven objects. She and Blaze also find a beanie that they are going to give to Flea when he is annoying them. Flea plays with a keyboard next to the cylinder for a little while and after giving Joe and Allison terrible headaches, succeeds in opening the cylinder. There is a very large, shiny black, humanoid with wires going into it. Joe wants to set his toe on fire to wake him up. We tell Joe to pull out a wire instead. Nothing happens so he keeps pulling out wires. Suddenly the thing moans. When half of the wires are pulled out the eyes open a deep blue and glowing. Joe says, “Hello.” An opening in its chest opens and a tentacle with teeth starts slowly moving toward the flapping Joe parrot in front of the thing’s face. We all yell, “Watch out Joe!” and Joe flies away. After it promising not to hurt us, we let it go and head back to the cave mouth. In the hallway that has the cave opening, we hear pattering feet coming quickly toward us followed by other feet. Davis says, boy am I glad to see you guys as he runs past the cave opening and reaches us. The laser bolts are flying from the four robots behind him. He says, “I just wanted to see if they were still there.” We fight the robots with Crom running toward them and then doing hand to hand, Joe turns into a flaming dragon on top of them until he gets too much damage and then turns back into a parrot, gets backhanded by Crom, flies into Flea’s face, gets peeled off Fleas face and makes his way back out of the cave. Hikari gets off a great shot to one of them, and tears off its arm. After taking a whole lot of damage, the four robots go down with the one Hikari first hit being the last to fall. Davis runs up to Crom and says, “Oh, my big black teddy! I love my new teddy. I shall call you Thadius.”

January 26th

Joe explains what happened. They throw a rock in the cave to see if the robots are still there. Joe goes back in to get Xestro’s body. He grabs the body by his leg and goes barreling back down the corridor. Hikari and Flea see a decapitated body with one leg up in the air go bouncing out of the cave. They go back to the behemoth and Flea tells everyone that Joe got Xestro dead. Joe tries to defend himself. Billy Bob gets out his camera. All Hikari can do is stare at the sword. Blaze and Allison are questioning the facts. Cilyn asks if everyone wants to stay here and get more people shot. Allison and Blaze are ready to go and Hikari and Davis want revenge and they’re curios as to what is behind the door. We sleep on it and then we decide that we are going to go ahead and explore the building. We throw another rock into the cave. We have invisible Joe go into the cave. Blaze puts a globe of daylight in so he can see. Blaze puts armor on and starts going toward the burnt room. Everyone else goes in and Joe and Allison recuperate from vertigo. At the room everything is charred but the fire alarms are off. The fire doors are still down though. Hikari shoots a door and punches a hole in the door. Blaze sticks a globe of daylight on the other side of the door and looks through the door. It is a lit corridor. Joe pulls the door off the hinges by using the hole as leverage. We go down the corridor. There are no doors, lots of dust and it ends in a cave in. We go back to the other door. Hikari shoots it and dislodges it from the frame. There is a short corridor and then another security door. We try swiping the card and nothing happens. The light is off. Joe opens the door. We see a room, so we throw the rock in. We try to turn the light on, but it isn’t working. The globe of daylight shows a really large room that looks like a control room. It is a lot bigger than the lab room. There are huge monitor screens and stair step levels. There are no other doors in the room, but the right side wall is plexy glass. Joe turns into a flaming parrot and goes through the glass. The wall is two stories high. On the other side of the glass there is a long narrow room. Dominating the room in the center is a large steel cylinder with wires sticking out of it. On the end of the door is what we assume is the other side of the door that got us in so much trouble. Blaze notices at the bottom of the cylinder there is a little green blinking light. On one side of the cylinder there is a key board. Allison finds a small book called Origin Myths and their Modern Meanings. She gives it to Blaze. It is by Lethatus Lasil. One chapter is about the myths of the seven items. It is two pages and it is the story that we read. The myth was found on a wall in a temple in the middle east. Each capitalized word seems to mean something significant. Portions of the story are missing. Light and Dark are more than alliteration but two sides of a war with good and evil as pawns in the game. They also find a beanie and they hide it to give to Flea when he is being annoying. Allison grabs a smiley face pen with hair. One of the plastic light bulb covers falls on Allison’s head. She has bad luck. Allison suggests for Flea to go in the narrow room so Joe makes the hole in the glass bigger by getting in the whole and then starts to turn into bigger birds. Joe is now an emu. Flea starts typing on the keyboard. Joe and Allison suddenly have terrible headaches and collapse to the floor. Flea says oops and starts typing again until the headaches stop. Allison tries to use bio regeneration to make her head feel better. It ends up doing damage to her hit points. Maybe it is not a good idea to use psionics. Blaze says that this must have been center to research defenses against psioncs. Flea types some more and the alarms go off. He thinks that he turned it off. The light on the cylinder is now amber. We want to leave and as we turn, there is a hiss of air and the outer casing of the cylinder starts to rise up. We see a large kind of humanoid figure in a shiny black with wires going into it. Most of them are going into its head. We don’t sense evil. We realize that the thing is strapped in. Its head is elongated and about the size of Flea. We go up to the figure. Allison tries to use telepathy and comes up against a mind block. Allison can also not see the aura which is a sign of a mind block. So, we know it is alive. Joe wants to burn its toes to wake it up. Joe turns back into a dragon and we all have to dodge him and yell at him. Joe taps him in between its eyes. Joe turns back into a parrot. We tell Joe to pull out a wire. Nothing happens so he keeps pulling out wires. Suddenly the thing moans. When half of the wires are pulled out the eyes open a deep blue glowing. Joe says, “Hello.” An opening in its chest opens and a tentacle with teeth starts slowly moving toward the flapping Joe in front of the thing’s face. We all yell, “Watch out Joe!” and Joe flies away. Hikari asks if he has a name. The figure is trying to get out of its bonds. Three blades come out of its hands and try to cut the bonds. Hikari is still trying to talk to it. It says, “Release ME” in a really deep voice. Allison tries to use empathy, but the mind block is still there. Blaze asks if he will promise not to hurt us and so she pulls out all the wires and tries to find a way to release him. Hikari helps with trying to release them. After a bit of sawing, they release him. Now that Allison and Blaze can see more of it, they realize that it doesn’t look like a natural creature. It looks like it might be something made by the Sploogorth biowizards. We don’t know how he got there if the building is a prerifts place and the Splugorth came after rifts. We ask him how he got here, but he isn’t paying any attention to them. He is stretching. We ask again, but he doesn’t know. All he knows is that he is hungry. The creature steps down, through the glass and into the big room. Hikari finally gets him to state his name and it is Crom. He knows that he once killed a lot of people like Hikari and we ask why he fought them and he says because they wanted to fight. We all affirm that we don’t want to fight. He doesn’t know how old he is and is still hungry and says that he would eat what we eat. We head out of the room. We throw a rock around every corner before we go around it. As we make our way to the cave mouth. We are about 30 yards away from the cave mouth and we hear the patter of one pair of feet followed by a lot of other feet. He says, “Boy am I glad to see you! I just wanted to see if they were still there.” Laser bolts start flying toward us. Joe turns invisible and charges down the corridor as well as Crom, shooting and Allison, Blaze, and Hikari are all running toward the cave entrance. Crom shoots Joe right in the back. Allison dodges a laser blast. Hikari has made it level with the cave mouth and goes jumping out. Joe flies down toward the robots. Davis jumps on Big Dee’s back as he goes charging toward the robots and shoots over his shoulder. The robots are getting really close to the entrance of the cave. Crom is almost to the robots. Hikari blasts a hole through one side of the robots and amputates one of its arms. Joe gets to the robots, changes form and flames on the middle robot. Flea shot Joe. Crom was flying through the air when Joe materialized so he lands on Joe and pushes off to the right. Joe is getting a beating so he turns into an invisible flying parrot. Crom goes to hit one of the robots, and misses it and back hand’s Joe and sends him flying back toward the air toward everyone. He lands on Flea’s face, but he is still invisible so he isn’t blocking his view. Crom then is able to land some blows on the robots. Flea peals him off his face and says, “Joe is that you?” Big D starts shooting now that the way is clear. Hikari is also continuing to shoot arrows. Blaze gets out of the cave. Joe becomes visible and says, “Let me go.” Flea drops him and he starts toward the door of the cave. Allison gets out of the cave. Blaze is now firing too. Big D and Flea shoot at a robot and one finally goes down. Crom is in the way of the two robots left now, but it doesn’t last long. Crom gets one more. The last one standing is the one that Hikari shot the arm off of. Everyone keeps fighting until they all go down. Davis goes running toward Crom and gives him a big hug and says, “Oh, my big black teddy! I love my new teddy. I shall call you Thadius.”

Summary Notes for January 5th

We send the mercenaries away and then experiment with the cave we found. Xestro throws a rock into the room and it just bounces. He puts his arm in the room to see if the tingling becomes unbearable and it just keeps tingling so he walks into the room after his rock. Blaze then goes in without any ill effects. So Allison walks in but feels dizzy so she goes back out. Hikari goes in without any effects. Davis walks into the cave and says, “This is so cool.” The three go after Xestro’s rock down the corridor to a room that has lab equipment on it and they hear whimpering coming from the corner. They flip on the lights and get bombarded with laser blasts. Blaze drops to the floor, Hikari goes out of the room and Xestro goes under a table. Blaze still is getting shot so she also goes under a table while Xestro rolls from one table to another while the blasts are focused on his companions. Blaze shoots a fire blast at one of the guns, and does a cloud of smoke around one of the guns all efforts have little effect. Hikari keeps gets ready to shoot an arrow into the cave to keep the lasers busy… Davis meanwhile says that was great while it lasted and heads off in the opposite direction the others went. Allison and Joe say that if he’s ok we can do it, too, so we walk in. The room starts spinning and Joe can’t keep his stomach under control and hurls all over Allison. When they recover, Joe turns into a flaming parrot so he can light up the room and starts down the corridor after the three and Allison follows at a safe distance. Hikari goes to make his shot and he sees a flying terror coming toward him. He gets off his shot into the room and then turns to face the menace when he recognizes Joe while he says, “It’s me, It’s me!” and Hikari says, “A parrot, you picked a parrot of all things?” Joe turns invisible and goes in to take care of the guns. He decides that he should turn into his dragon form to take care of the guns and falls on the tables on both sides of Xestro. Joe fire blasts up to the gun and lights the ceiling on fire. The fire doors fall leaving the three of them in the room while Hikari and Allison are in the corridor. Joe takes care of all of the guns and then Xestro and Blaze start exploring the room when the door where Hikari was shoots through the room and slams into the back offices right next to Blaze and Xestro. Hikari and Allison stand dazed and deafened in the hallway. Blaze finds a senile ghost under a table that is just saying there is no way out. We deciede to find Davis and find that he has gone on some elevators. We go up after him one floor at a time. The bottom floor as been caved in and Joe deciedes to let all the rubble into the elevator with us so we have to climb up a level to get another elevator. We only see footprints one floor where there are a lot of footprints. We go into the room and hide on the ceiling while some robots shoot the dust that invisible Joe stired up with his foot print. After we stay still for a long time the robots leave, Allison drops a shoe to make sure they are gone and they go back in the elevator. While they are discussing what to do in the elevator, the elevator starts going down and they meet Davis. They all go back to the original floor, try to get into a secured room, set off the alarms, hear the elevators start to come to their floor, run away. They wait outside the cave for the robots to come get them, but it doesn’t look like they are coming. Allison and Blaze go back to the Behemoth. Flea tries to get some computer stuff out of the room but it is ablaze. Xestro and Joe go to see if the robots are there still and puts his head around the corner. His head is vaporized, Joe grabs the body and starts running, he has to drop the body when he starts getting shot too much and escapes back outside the cave.

January 5th

It is mid day, Monday July 2nd. We send the mercenaries away after we paid them. The leader says that he should look him up again if we have any other jobs for him. (Blaze heroically swishes a bug on Joe’s paper with her bare hand.) Hikari joins Blaze, Xestro, Joe, and Allison at the cave mouth. Allison send ectoplasm toward the cave after a few inches into the cave, it collapse and goes back to Allison. Xestro throws a rock into the cave and it bounces around. We look into the cave some more. All we can see is a wall opposite the opening from the rock cliff face that has electronics along it. It is obviously man made and the corridor goes in both directions about 8 feet wide. Xestro holds his hand in to see if it becomes unbearable. It just keeps tingling. He walks all the way in and is now tingling all over but nothing more. Xestro throws his rock down the corridor. Blaze watches Xestro for a while and then she goes in after he seems ok. Blaze just walks in without any effects at all. Allison decides that it must be ok so she walks in and feels the world start spinning. She quickly gets back out of the cave and the world stops spinning. Hikari goes in without any problems. The floor is covered in dust and their newly made footprints. Davis goes walking in and starts swaying around and thinks it is the coolest thing. The party inside the cave except for the swaying Davis goes down the hallway after Xestro’s rock. The hallway turns to the right and they see a room that has a lot of tables with lab equipment on it. They hear whimpering on the far side of the room in a corner. There are no footprints in the dust other than theirs. Hikari can see the far side of the room but cannot see anything. Blaze does not sense magic and Xestro does not sense evil but when using that power he tingles more. Hikari turns on the lights by using a light switch. The whimpering does not change. The far wall is lined with plexy glass walled in offices. Blaze steps into the room toward the whimpering and Hikari notices big guns in the far corners moving toward them. (Nick drops food once again. Scott mentions that it is not a good omen and that he should just leave now. Little does he know how true that is.) Hikari yells duck and drops to the floor. Two bright beams of light flash out of the corners toward Blaze and she dives forward and hits the ground. The beams fly over her. She lies as still as she can. Xestro sees out of the corner of his eye in the corner close to him a laser pointing at him. He dodges by going under a table just in the nick of time. Hikari gets tagged by the other gun in the near left corner. Xestro yells to turn off the lights. Hikari turns off the lights and exalts in his success while dodging another blast while the one from the near right corner tags him. Blaze casts Armor of Ithan. Hikari dodges back into the hallway. Blaze crawls under the table and avoids another blast. Xestro is rolling under the tables toward the gun. He throws his rock up and it gets blasted. Blaze pops up to cast a fire blast at the gun in the near left gun. All two lasers blast her in the back of the head and she hits the one gun with her blast while it also blasts her. She also gets hit with the final gun. Hikari gets ready to shoot an arrow into the cave. Meanwhile, outside, Joe and Allison watch as Davis stops swaying, saying, “It was good while it lasted” and heads off in the opposite direction. Allison and Joe decide that if it goes away for him it will work for them as well and both walk into the cave. Allison feels a little queezy but it is nothing that she can’t handle. Joe has a bit of a harder time and hurls all over Allison. After a minute Allison recovers from the vertigo and just has tingling all over. Joe is still recovering and Allison takes advantage of the moment by putting makeup all over his face. Joe then recovers and they go after the rest of the group and leave Davis on his own. They need light and Allison can’t be close while he is flamed on so Joe turns into a flaming, flying parrot and goes down the hallway with Allison trailing at a safe distance behind him. As Hikari prepares to fire his arrow into the lab he sees a light coming behind him. He fires his arrow into the room, hears the arrow get destroyed and turns to look behind him and sees a flaming bird of death flying toward him then realizes that it is Joe. Joe noticed that Hikari looks startled and says, “Don’t shoot, it’s me.” Hikari replies, “A parrot? You picked a parrot of all things?” Allison yells, “Joe, you can flame off now!” Hikari fills Allison and Joe in on what is going on. Blaze’s globe of daylight flickered and went out, so she casts it once again then she manipulates objects and turns the light on without anyone getting shot. Blaze casts cloud of smoke around one of the guns then Hikari shoots an arrow to see if the gun still fires at it and all guns fired at it. Xestro rolls under the next table while the guns are busy. Blaze looks to see if there are cables that are powering the lasers, and narrowly misses getting hit and doesn’t see any cables. Blaze wants to get something done so she tries to pop up and blast the gun again and just take the shots, but she catches her shoulder on the table, preventing her from getting off her shot but gets tagged by three of the guns in the head. Then she gets back under the table to cast armor of ithan again. Hikari shoots an arrow while Blaze goes for a gun. One shot gets the arrow and two get Blaze. Then Allison asks Joe, “Can’t you go invisible?” Joe says, “Oh, yah.” He goes invisible as a parrot into the room and nothing happens. He sees that nothing happens so he flutters over to the gun that Xestro is only one table away from. He then turns into a dragon, but the walls are too close so he falls onto the tables that Xestro is currently under. Xestro sees the table in front of him and the table behind him collapse. Debris goes everywhere. Xestro shoots the gun around Joe. Joe puts his head under the gun and does a fire blast. He destroyed the gun and the flame goes into the ceiling. Joes sees the fire still burning after he stops flaming. Everyone else sees this flame go into the ceiling. The smoke comes into the room and Blaze puts her gas mask on. The fire alarm starts going off. We hear a really loud hissing sound at the same time fire doors seal off the room that Joe, Blaze and Xestro is in. The fire alarm is very loud in the room, even louder in the hallway and still a very loud hissing sound. Hikari tells Allison that he is going to shoot an arrow that does a lot of damage so Allison backs up around the bend in the hallway. In the room, Joe rips one of the guns off of the wall and they are all feeling a little tired. They go explore the offices to see if there is a way out. Hikari shoots his arrow and there is a very big boom. The door goes flying off the door frame and goes flying across the room. The door slams into the office wall right next to Blaze and then goes through the office wall and into the wall behind it. Both Allison and Hikari are temporarily deafened. There is now a clear path through the middle of the room. Blaze goes to try and find the whimpering sound. She finds a person curled up under one of the tables. She is wearing a white lab coat. She goes toward her and asks if she is ok. She jerks up and says, “There is no escape. There’s no way out! We’re trapped!” Blaze says, “We got in we can get out.” She says, “Take me with you!” Blaze reaches for her and her arms go through her. Blaze finds a fire extinguisher. She gets on Xestro’s shoulders, closes her eyes, and shoots the fire extinguisher up into the ceiling until it goes out. A giant white cloud covers both of them. Xestro is coughing a lot. Blaze opens her eyes and can’t see anything but white. She gets off of Xestro’s shoulders and eventually get out of the white cloud. Joe sees two white objects moving around and then sees the white drop away as Blaze cleanses herself and Xestro. Joe puts his head above the ceiling tiles and doesn’t see any fire. We all go back to the mouth of the cave. Flea is there and says that Davis hasn’t returned yet. Allison says that she doesn’t have any weapons so Flea lets her borrow his gun that he got from Jack. We go back to the room and they talk to the ghost. We don’t get anywhere. There are no fire escape maps on the wall. We turn on a computer but we don’t have a password. We decide to go back to find Davis. The hallway goes for a ways and then turns left. Then we come to three elevator doors. We can see Davis’ footprint going into the middle elevator so we go in that one. We are on level three and we go up to level two. We see a straight halway going forward. There is no dust on the floor. Level one has lots of footprints. They are recent footprints but we can’t tell if they are Davis’ and they may be made by the same person. Level four has a big huge room. No foot prints. We send a globe of daylight into the room. All we see is a wide open space. The last level, five doesn’t want to open, so Joe helps them to open and rocks and rubble come in. We get out and climb up to the next floor. Joe goes into the room invisible. Joe runs in and sees how far he can go. Allison gets tired of waiting for Joe so she walks into the room and pushes the button for the next elevator and the elevator comes like normal. There are no guns apparently. We go up to level one. We can’t tell which way Davis went. We look for an angled footprint to see which way he stepped off the elevator, but he wasn’t on this elevator. As we are trying to figure out what to do, we hear footsteps coming from the left. It sounds like more than one person. We decide to get up on the ceiling and hide hanging to the cables there. The elevator door closes and we are plunged in darkness hanging to the door. Joe just turns invisible. Joe doesn’t see anything even with thermal vision. The footsteps are coming closer. Joe opens the elevator to get light back into the corridor. Into the light of the elevator walks four robots holding laser rifles. One walks into the elevator, walks out and then they all just stand there. Joe moves his foot to close the elevator door and a little bit of dust shifts and instantly all four robots fire on the dust. Joe gets a lot of damage to his foot and screams out in pain. We can’t see what the robots are doing because the door is closed again. We can hear movement, but they aren’t firing. Joe holds completely still. It is completely silent in the corridor. We then hear steps going off into the corridor. Allison uses her other foot to get her shoe off and it drops to the floor. Allison yells to Joe to open the door. Allison jumps into the elevator after retrieving her shoe and says let’s go. The guys are sitting there discussing things while Allison and Blaze say we’re going, you better get in now. We’re closing the door. We are all in the elevator and trying to decide what we are doing. We hear steps going by and we all are quiet while the steps get closer and closer. Just when the feet are almost to the door the elevator jolts and we start going down. The door opens at level four. Davis is standing there saying the place is so cool. Allison and Davis stand there talking about all the great things they could do with this place. Everyone else gets back on the elevator and go back up. Allison and Davis join them. They walk down further on level three. There is a big security door at the end of the hall. Joe tries to open the door and just leaves long scratches in the door. They go back to the door and try to find a security badge. Blaze finds a personal pass that has a guy’s name on it and a magnetic strip. She tried the card in the keypad and tried random numbers on the door. After two tries we stopped. Hikari then tries to shoot the door and doesn’t charge it enough. It only leaves a scorch mark on the door. Alarms start blazing and we decide that it is time to go. We run out and see that the elevators are coming down to that level. We all go out of the cave and wait for the robots to come. We wait for ten minutes and no one is coming. Allison goes back to the behemoth to rest and get some ISP back. As everyone else keeps talking, smoke comes out of the opening. Allison says that she can’t put the fire out until after an hour of resting. We send Flea in to get some computers. Xestro goes in as well and Joe goes with him and feels dizzy again for about three minutes. They turn the corner to the room where the computers are an the whole room is blazing. Xestro finds another fire extinguisher and shoots it in there. It doesn’t do anything so he throws the bottle in the room and it explodes. Xestro wants to go to the other side where the elevators are and see if the robots are there. They get to the corner and Xestro sticks his head around to see if the robots are there. He sees several lasers coming toward him and that is the last thing he ever saw. So ends the life of our heroic Samari. Joe sees him look around and sees his body fall. Joe grabs his body and starts running toward the corridor. Laser blasts start flying out toward him since the body isn’t invisible. He d rops the body and makes his way to the opening. He doesn’t take too much damage.

Flea and Blaze

October 27 summary

Allison tries to kill one of the grig leapers in atral projection form, but they all go nuts and she can’t be certain that she keeps hitting the same one. So we still don’t know how tough these animals are. We head back to Silverton. Flea gets a big gun and a pretty hat, Allison and Xestro hire some mercenaries while Davis falls off of pianos, Blaze, Hikari, and Joe get some potions at the potion store and go to the book store to get a blank book. They are told to go to the general store for a blank book and hear all about the crazy D-Bee who bought a hat. Flea meats Allison, Xestro, and Davis at the bar where they are hiring the mercenaries and they all head back to the behemoth. On the way back, some men from another bar that they to try to take their credits, but flea sits on them and Allison makes one go blind. I’m sure they will never attack a grakletooth again. We meet the mercenaries at the water tower, pay them and head off to the ranch. We kill all the animals with Flea getting the most damage from one shot from Xestro and monster chewing on his arm. He did get the coolest trophy, though. After the fight we notice that there is a cave that was revealed from the blasts.
