March 29th Notes Summary

Summary We are able to convince the High Priest to help us with our quest. He tells us that the city of Du Eindrel is right in the path that the Seeker is pointing to. He says that the city is very bad. It is known as one of the most evil and tortuous places on Wormwood. The ruler is known to be very vicious and he is a servant of the unholy and a powerful summoner. The only reason he agrees to help us is because there is a Battle Saint there that can only be activated by a priest of light and when it is not active it looks like a hill. It takes fifteen minutes to summon it and then the priest has to get into it. He wants the Battle Saint so if we agree to bring it back, we can have help. We are told that it will take a couple of days to get everything together but we care welcome to stay at the temple until then. Blaze and Allison find information about Demons in the library with only a little bit of complications. Gypsy fixes a TW motorcycle and then gets a ride for payment. He compares weapons with the other knights and they are impressed and invite him to join them at the barracks pub. Crom wants to fight so he asks for a partner and gets clobbered by a statue like opponent that started at 10 feet tall, but grew. His name was Ralf. Allison joins Crom and Gypsy at the bar and is able to get entry by subtly. She is instantly very popular and the knights enjoy getting her drunk. When she passes out, Gypsy and Crom call it a night and head back to their rooms. The next day Allison stays in bed and Blaze, Crom and Gypsy go out to terrorize a local mage. After that encounter Blaze needs some more armor so she gets snot dropped on her that turns out to be great armor. Gypsy and Allison also get armor. They meet their traveling group the next day. We don’t get Ralf but we get Brother Narash, four Knights Templar and a Worm Speaker. Blaze is repulsed by the worms coming out of the worm speakers mouth. We get to the mountains after three days, Blaze and Gypsy are now filling the Seeker, we shoot down a monstrous scout, go to the next ravine and head out of the mountains. Five days later, the seeker is now full, we get to a forest of smooth crystal-like stalagmites and decide that we are going to go through them.

Summary Notes for March 1st

We defeat the flying fish and goblins by Gypsy (DA) using his blinding flash and shield, Blaze doing some fancy flying, Allison getting to use her psi sword, Hikari shooting arrows, Crom getting into the middle of the goblins and scaring them all away but not without taking a lot of damage, and Joe concentrating really hard, giving up and getting to the battle in time to catch fish for Crom to eat. Allison tries to do an object read on the Thraidec and falls unconscious for about half a day. Narash leads us to the other side of the mountains, gives us water and then leads us to Layton. He feeds us bugs along the way which were quite tasty but Blaze just couldn’t stomach them. At Layton, the humans go with Narash into the Cathedral to meet with the High Priest to see if he can help us with our quest. They end up sitting in a waiting room playing cards. The Dee Bees and Davis go to find an Inn and are arrested on the way, all except for Davis that was climbing on a building. Davis finds the humans, invites them to come share his fun and as an afterthought, tells them that the others were arrested and then continues having fun on his new playground. Gypsy and Allison look for the guide that led them to the waiting room to see if he can help their friends get out of prison. They get lost and end up finding the Captain of the Guard that is having a hard time getting Davis to get off the buildings. We try to get him to stop shooting Davis, but then the old guide finds us and leads us to the High Priest. We tell him that we are looking for an item and to get more information we need our friend that is in the dudgeon. He calls for the Guard and tells him to go get our friends but Davis pops in right then. We get Davis to stay in the room by giving him a marble and the Captain of the Guard goes to get the prisoners, making sure the guards that were outside the door are now inside the door.

Summary Notes for February 9th

The robots have been defeated and now we get to decide what we are going to do. We all meet up at the behemoth explorer. Crom finally gets something to eat. We head back to Silverton. That evening Billy Bob tells them it is time to leave and pulls a very large chest out of a very small bag. He bows, takes one last group shot, blinds us all, and is gone when our eyesight returns. Allison and Blaze rejoice for a short while and then open the chest. It has enough gems for us all to retire. While Blaze is studying in her room, Crom goes to her thinking she is the leader of the group and opens her door and waits in the doorway until she notices him. When she looks up he asks for a room and she guides him to an empty one. When we get back to Silverton Blaze, Crom, Allison, Big Dee, Davis and Flea all head toward the Northern Gun store. The people make a wide berth around us. Crom is very excited to see all the guns but Blaze tells him that he has to wait to get any because Julius is out of town and we need his permission to get him on the contract. Davis tells Crom, “Don’t worry Thadius, I’ll take care of it.” Allison tries to get her Crescent board fixed, but the Devil man is not reasonable. (Blaze did not go with her) The next morning a guy from the mercenary group that we just hired knocks on our door. He heard that we have gems and is interested in buying some of them since he is a tecnowizard. Allison gets him to look at her hovercycle. He said that he would fix it but he wants to go buy his gems first. She shows him up to the room where everyone is eating breakfast and we feel a presents fill the room. The God that came to the other members of the group appears in three forms of a figure wearing a bright blue cloak and standing a little bit taller than each of them in front of Crom, Gypsy, and Allison and asks them if they will accept the challenge to right the balance of the megaverse. Gypsy and Allison agree. Crom looks at everyone and asks if this quest could include vengeance and the figure responds as long as vengeance is not carried to extremes. Crom agrees. All three of them are whispered words of advice. Then the three figures combine into one figure then tells us, “the quest has well begun but I am displeased with those who have possession of the items of power for you have not called upon their power. You need to do so in the future if you wish to prevail against the darkness.” He then fades away. We all become accepting of Crom. We all go over to Gypsy and welcome him to the group and tell him that he no longer has to buy the gems. We explain to him what is going on and tell him to go tie up his loose ends and we’ll see him in the morning. Gypsy goes back to the mercenary group and gets fired and then returns back to the behemoth. Allison and Blaze compare the book that had the legend to the scroll and they are the same. They discover that the Thraidec can heal people when you touch them with it and say, “Thraidec.” While experimenting with this, Blaze notices that a ruin on the Seeker is glowing. Davis gets back with a crate of weapons for Crom and everyone heads toward the ley line to open the rift to the next item. The rift opens and it is only 8 feet tall so they will have to leave the behemoth. Jarl, Onida, and Zebulon stay with the behemoth. Everyone else grabs what they can and walk into the rift. White light forms around us and when it clears we see that we are on a large plain that stretches off in all directions. There are no hills, birds, sounds, grass, or dirt. The ground is a greenish grayish color that has a little bit of a give to it. It feels rough, but not like sand paper. Allison sees an aura that stretches off in every direction. She tells everyone that the ground is alive. All we can see the curve of the world in the horizon. Blaze doesn’t feel a ley line and the world feels disconnected to her. She is still able to perform her spells, though. We head in the directions that the seeker is headed. After three days we see a little bit of some mountains in the horizon. We realize that in those three days we have not seen anything living as well as any water. Blaze scouts ahead to see if she sees anything with Gypsy on her hovercycle. They see something in the air in the distance that looks like a cross between hammer head and a snake, then it disappears. We go a little farther and Hikari raises the problem of that we only have one day of water left and we need to find water. The seeker has not registered any PPE yet and we wonder how long it is supposed to take to fill. No one remembers, though. We keep going forward toward the West. Blaze gets on her wing board to scout. Joe senses evil faintly coming from everywhere. We see some mountains off to the North and Crom tells us that lots of times water can be found in the mountains so we turn and head that way. They are odd looking mountains. They are smooth with no rocks or anything. They aren’t very big. Blaze flies up toward the mountains and doesn’t see any water, but she does see a man running down one of the canyons in the mountains and behind him there about 2 dozen goblins chasing him carrying spears and short swords. They are about two miles away from the group, but not headed directly from the group. Blaze uses levitation and lifts the guy into the air and grabs him. He is screaming his head off. Blaze tries to tell him that she is saving him, but being a devil man doesn’t help that much. He faints and she brings him back to the group. Blaze explains what happened. Allison tries to heal him with the Thraidec, but he doesn’t appear to be hurt. Davis comes over and smacks him across the face and wakes him up. Flea says, “Hhhiii.” He faints again. Allison goes over and demands all the dee-bees to leave. Allison wants to find out about this guy and she asks Davis to wake him up again. When he wakes up Blaze uses the Thraidec and it works now. The guy is saying, “Where are they? Where are they?” Allison tells him that her friend saw that he was in trouble so she decided to remove him from that situation. She apologizes if her friend scared him. The guy asks Allison what side she is on. She responds the good side. The guy says that is a little vague and he asks if she serves the unholy. She responds that she is not from around here. And he says that he kind of noticed from the assortment of dee-bees. Allison says that all she knows is that goblins aren’t nice so we decided to save him from them. He asks if he is our prisoner and we respond only if he wants to be. He sits up and looks around and says, “If it is all the same to you, I’ll be going now.” We stop him and ask him about water. He says, “You are new to Wormwood aren’t you? Which side of the mountains are we on?” We respond that we are on the south side of the mountains. He can get us some water but we will have to go to the other side of the mountains. We ask how long it is going to take and he responds that it depends on if we get attacked by the forces of the unholy or not. While we were talking, Gypsy hikes to the top of the mountains to get a better vantage point. We look around and say, “The new guy is gone.” Blaze goes and gets him and asks why he didn’t use his hovercycle. Blaze flies up and sees the goblins are about an hour away. We ask the guy if the goblins were forces of the unholy, he says yes. He says he is Narash of the Layton Cathedral. Layton is toward the North. He says that he was traveling with the Vicar and was ambushed. The Vicar is dead and as far as he knows everyone else is dead as well. The Vicar was the second in command of the Cathedral. Goblins are nasty creatures that are known for being cannibalistic if there is no other food. They rely on group strength and numbers rather than strategy. They are evil and intelligent. They don’t have specific weaknesses. They are MDC. We decide to stay here and ambush the goblins. Crom sets everything up of how we are going to attack them. Blaze is up in the air to draw them toward her. Gypsy is on one side of the canyon to be a look out. The flying people are off to the side where the goblins won’t see them and the ones with the big guns are out in front where the goblins will see them first then the flying people will come in and fight once the goblins are engaged. We ask if Narash can help us and ask about his story. He says that he was traveling with the Vicar and was ambushed. The Vicar is dead and as far as he knows everyone else is dead as well. The Vicar was the second in command of the Cathedral. The goblins see Blaze hovering in the air so they slow down and send some scouts to the top of the canyon to get better vantage points. The goblin that was sent up to where Gypsy was runs back to the group yelling. Gypsy shoots the goblin in the back and he goes tumbling down the hill. Crom hears the boom and starts running toward the mouth of the canyon. Several goblins take baskets off their backs and see some things flying out of them. The things resemble foot long piranhas with two scaly arms and evil glowing eyes. There are about 30 of them in the air. 15 go toward Blaze, 15 go toward Blaze. Gypsy says, “I should have used the chameleon on my armor.” Gypsy shoots the leader of the group, takes the shot and screams a bit and sends six warriors up toward Gypsy. Blaze flies toward her fish to get closer to Gypsy and get rid of her fish on the way. Allison is flying toward mouth of the canyon as fast as she can. Crom and Allison will get there in a minute. Blaze shoots a magic net toward the fish and misses them and before she can shoot again, the fish are on top her. Gypsy shoots a net through his shotgun and is able to snare 3 of them out of 15.

Summary Notes for January 26th

A few members are at the behemoth and a few are still outside the mouth of the cave. Joe comes barreling out of the cave still invisible shouting, “He’s Dead, He’s Dead.” Hikari see’s bolts of laser bolts flying down the corridor as hearing Joe’s voice. Flea goes to the mouth of the cave to see what is going on and gets thrown back as Joe comes out of the cave still shouting. Flea says that he not going to be the only one. Joe explains what happened. They throw a rock in the cave to see if the robots are still there. Joe goes back in to get Xestro’s body. He grabs the body by his leg and goes barreling back down the corridor. Hikari and Flea see a decapitated body with one leg up in the air go bouncing out of the cave. They go back to the behemoth and Flea tells everyone that Joe got Xestro dead. Joe tries to defend himself. Billy Bob gets out his camera. All Hikari can do is stare at the sword. Blaze and Allison are questioning the facts. We discuss what we are going to do now and decide to sleep on it. The next morning we go back into the cave to satisfy Hikari’s curiosity. We discover a large room that looks like the control center. We find a large narrow room on the other side of a Plexiglas wall. There is a large cylinder in the room. Allison finds a book that has the myth of the seven objects. She and Blaze also find a beanie that they are going to give to Flea when he is annoying them. Flea plays with a keyboard next to the cylinder for a little while and after giving Joe and Allison terrible headaches, succeeds in opening the cylinder. There is a very large, shiny black, humanoid with wires going into it. Joe wants to set his toe on fire to wake him up. We tell Joe to pull out a wire instead. Nothing happens so he keeps pulling out wires. Suddenly the thing moans. When half of the wires are pulled out the eyes open a deep blue and glowing. Joe says, “Hello.” An opening in its chest opens and a tentacle with teeth starts slowly moving toward the flapping Joe parrot in front of the thing’s face. We all yell, “Watch out Joe!” and Joe flies away. After it promising not to hurt us, we let it go and head back to the cave mouth. In the hallway that has the cave opening, we hear pattering feet coming quickly toward us followed by other feet. Davis says, boy am I glad to see you guys as he runs past the cave opening and reaches us. The laser bolts are flying from the four robots behind him. He says, “I just wanted to see if they were still there.” We fight the robots with Crom running toward them and then doing hand to hand, Joe turns into a flaming dragon on top of them until he gets too much damage and then turns back into a parrot, gets backhanded by Crom, flies into Flea’s face, gets peeled off Fleas face and makes his way back out of the cave. Hikari gets off a great shot to one of them, and tears off its arm. After taking a whole lot of damage, the four robots go down with the one Hikari first hit being the last to fall. Davis runs up to Crom and says, “Oh, my big black teddy! I love my new teddy. I shall call you Thadius.”

Summary Notes for January 5th

We send the mercenaries away and then experiment with the cave we found. Xestro throws a rock into the room and it just bounces. He puts his arm in the room to see if the tingling becomes unbearable and it just keeps tingling so he walks into the room after his rock. Blaze then goes in without any ill effects. So Allison walks in but feels dizzy so she goes back out. Hikari goes in without any effects. Davis walks into the cave and says, “This is so cool.” The three go after Xestro’s rock down the corridor to a room that has lab equipment on it and they hear whimpering coming from the corner. They flip on the lights and get bombarded with laser blasts. Blaze drops to the floor, Hikari goes out of the room and Xestro goes under a table. Blaze still is getting shot so she also goes under a table while Xestro rolls from one table to another while the blasts are focused on his companions. Blaze shoots a fire blast at one of the guns, and does a cloud of smoke around one of the guns all efforts have little effect. Hikari keeps gets ready to shoot an arrow into the cave to keep the lasers busy… Davis meanwhile says that was great while it lasted and heads off in the opposite direction the others went. Allison and Joe say that if he’s ok we can do it, too, so we walk in. The room starts spinning and Joe can’t keep his stomach under control and hurls all over Allison. When they recover, Joe turns into a flaming parrot so he can light up the room and starts down the corridor after the three and Allison follows at a safe distance. Hikari goes to make his shot and he sees a flying terror coming toward him. He gets off his shot into the room and then turns to face the menace when he recognizes Joe while he says, “It’s me, It’s me!” and Hikari says, “A parrot, you picked a parrot of all things?” Joe turns invisible and goes in to take care of the guns. He decides that he should turn into his dragon form to take care of the guns and falls on the tables on both sides of Xestro. Joe fire blasts up to the gun and lights the ceiling on fire. The fire doors fall leaving the three of them in the room while Hikari and Allison are in the corridor. Joe takes care of all of the guns and then Xestro and Blaze start exploring the room when the door where Hikari was shoots through the room and slams into the back offices right next to Blaze and Xestro. Hikari and Allison stand dazed and deafened in the hallway. Blaze finds a senile ghost under a table that is just saying there is no way out. We deciede to find Davis and find that he has gone on some elevators. We go up after him one floor at a time. The bottom floor as been caved in and Joe deciedes to let all the rubble into the elevator with us so we have to climb up a level to get another elevator. We only see footprints one floor where there are a lot of footprints. We go into the room and hide on the ceiling while some robots shoot the dust that invisible Joe stired up with his foot print. After we stay still for a long time the robots leave, Allison drops a shoe to make sure they are gone and they go back in the elevator. While they are discussing what to do in the elevator, the elevator starts going down and they meet Davis. They all go back to the original floor, try to get into a secured room, set off the alarms, hear the elevators start to come to their floor, run away. They wait outside the cave for the robots to come get them, but it doesn’t look like they are coming. Allison and Blaze go back to the Behemoth. Flea tries to get some computer stuff out of the room but it is ablaze. Xestro and Joe go to see if the robots are there still and puts his head around the corner. His head is vaporized, Joe grabs the body and starts running, he has to drop the body when he starts getting shot too much and escapes back outside the cave.

October 27 summary

Allison tries to kill one of the grig leapers in atral projection form, but they all go nuts and she can’t be certain that she keeps hitting the same one. So we still don’t know how tough these animals are. We head back to Silverton. Flea gets a big gun and a pretty hat, Allison and Xestro hire some mercenaries while Davis falls off of pianos, Blaze, Hikari, and Joe get some potions at the potion store and go to the book store to get a blank book. They are told to go to the general store for a blank book and hear all about the crazy D-Bee who bought a hat. Flea meats Allison, Xestro, and Davis at the bar where they are hiring the mercenaries and they all head back to the behemoth. On the way back, some men from another bar that they to try to take their credits, but flea sits on them and Allison makes one go blind. I’m sure they will never attack a grakletooth again. We meet the mercenaries at the water tower, pay them and head off to the ranch. We kill all the animals with Flea getting the most damage from one shot from Xestro and monster chewing on his arm. He did get the coolest trophy, though. After the fight we notice that there is a cave that was revealed from the blasts. Allison tries to go in it in Astral projection form, but is sent back to her body with three minutes elapsing. Xestro tries to go in but his face starts tingling and he steps back out. Joe sticks his head in and feels vertigo and takes his head back out. Blaze sends a glob of daylight into the room and sees a lot of computers and electronics. She figures that is once was a pre-rifts military instillation. Xestro suggests that we send the mercenaries away, but we haven’t yet.

Summary Notes for Oct 12th

Blaze pays way too much for a Crescent Wing Board and we head off to the ranch where the Grig Leapers have been causing trouble. We get there in the evening, meet the ranch foreman, and he gives us dinner, tells us where the canyon is that the Grig Leapers have been coming from, and directs us to where herd of cows are. We go out the herd, plan on waiting until the leapers start to feast on the cows and then attack them, but Joe spots one while he is flying over the edge of the herd and goes down too close to it and gets attacked by two others. He flames on to get the Leapers off of him and then flies up further than he was before and blows fire balls at them. The leapers dodge all of the fire balls. We see that Joe had flamed on so go running toward him. By the time we get there Joe had not only scared off all of the leapers, but did a thunderclap and scared all of the cattle as well. We round up the cattle and the next morning find a couple of dead cows. Allison does astral projection and finds the lair of the Grig Leapers. It is a honeycombed cliff face with about 54 holes. The two that she goes in have sleeping grig leapers in them. Allison leads Blaze and Hikari to where the lair is and Hikari figures out that the leapers are exiting the canyon over the side of the canyon wall opposite to where the lair is and directly leading toward the cattle. The next night we go back to the lair and count how many animals leave to go hunt and how many stay at the lair. 34 animals left, 12 adults stayed and there are also about 25 little ones. We decide that we are going to need help to exterminate the infestation and tell the foreman that we will be back.

September 29th Summary

The lady from the church group that Joe had scared in town one time comes and asks if Joe, Xestro, Blaze and Allison, and Billy Bob will come help entertain and protect a group of orphans that she is taking on a picnic. Joe entertains them with pony rides and we find a worm from a worm wrathe that gives us a taste of what is to come. We destroy the worm, but later, after a game of tag, we find that little Hammie is missing. He is soon found in the grip of a whole worm wrathe. All four of us (Joe, Xestro, Blaze and Allison) move toward the wrathe to try and get Hammie back when Joe and Xestro glimpse three more coming from the other side of the group of kids. Those two head off to save the kids while Blaze and Allison attack the one holding Hammie. Hammie’s head gets shot off and Joe dives in front of the group of kids right before they are shot by the other wrathes. He continues to be shot repeatedly by two of the wrathes. Xestro runs toward the third wrathe, parrying ion bolts the whole way. Blaze ensnares the first wrathe with a magic net, Allison shoots its gun and they head over to help the others, but not in time to save Joe. Joe makes the ultimate sacrifice and saves 30 orphan children. Blaze gets shot and lands her hovercycle and hides behind it. Her hovercycle gets demolished by the ion bolts raining down upon it. Xestro gets all the way to the monster, only getting shot once, kills it and runs screaming toward the next one. He damages it enough that it melts into worms and they all head off in different directions. Allison swoops toward Joe on her wing board, sees that he is dead and heads out to run over the evil monster that did this to her friend. Unfortunately, Blaze had just put carpet of adhesion on the wrathe and the board stops, stuck on the monster and Allison keeps going, flipping over the board and monster landing on her back 100 yards behind it. The monster gets bent backwards, with the wing board attached to it and his gun in the air. It bends all the way back and shoots at Allison lying on the ground. Xestro runs toward it, Blaze takes off the carpet of adhesion and Xestro does a chi death blow and the monster is no more. Blaze helps Allison and Xestro ends the life of the other monster that is still under the net. We all, including the kids, gather around the body of Joe, Billy Bob taking pictures the whole time. We are unable to bury him by ourselves, so we take the kids back to the church and go get the rest of the group. When the whole group is gathered around Joe, Jarl goes up to Joe, starts saying a prayer and Joe’s eyes flutter open. We all rejoice at the miracle that we have witnessed.

September 14th Notes Summary

Summary: We decide that we are going to go move the Mammoth Brontadons because they are causing damage to more people than the Grig Leapers. Blaze stops by the potion shop before we leave and figures out the names of her three powders: A cream colored powder is called Oberth that turned Joe’s fire from yellow to blue; A green is called Rizen that just went through the fire without any effects; And a red called Moon’s Blood that causes a blast and everyone to blank out for a while. The potion being, Mr. Noodles, will not trade with us for any of his potions because Joe would not eat a muffin with him. We go to the place where the Mammoth Brontadons are. We find the humongous animals in a herd of about 21 with the biggest, the herd leader, in the middle. They are moving east toward a village about two miles in front of them and at the rate they are going, they will reach it in about 2 hours. We try various things that only slightly affected them such as a thunderbolt, Joe lighting himself on fire upwind from them and firing fireballs at them. The Repel animals and carpet of adhesion to the bottom of their feet didn’t do anything at all. Davis gets them moving with by dropping sewage right in the middle of the herd. This gets them moving, but not in the right direction. Joe blows fire in the leader of the herd’ face until he stops and the herd stops with him. We get a chain and stick it through the nostril of the leader of the herd and after some trials and errors, we are able to gently turn the monster’s head to a southern direction away from the village. The village people throws us a party and we head back to Silverton. At Silverton, Flea, Big Dee, Allison, and Xestro go out for drinks and Blaze studies while Hikari meditates and Joe sleeps and Jarl is around somewhere at the behemoth. Hikari hears a knock at the door, tells everyone that he is opening the door and meets Billy Bob the tourist. Hikari is able to make Billy Bob come back in the morning when everyone else is there. When Billy Bob comes back, Davis welcomes him with open arms and it looks like we aren’t going to get rid of him. At least it appears that he pays good with about 1-5 million credits worth of gems. We would like to trade in the gems but it will take a few days so we decide that we are going to go same the people being attacked by the Grig Leapers first.
