September 14th

We are trying to decide if we should go after the Grig Leapers or the Mammoth Brontadons. We at first think of going to the Grig Leapers, but brontadons are closer and can hurt more people, so we go for them. Blaze wants to go see if the potion man is back to trade before we leave. Allison, Joe, and Hikari go with her. The shop is open and the weird blue guy is still floating in the air blowing bubbles. We find out that he likes to be called Mr. Noodles. Blaze brings out her dragon shell and three potion bottles to show him and see if she can sell or trade them. He only buys things on Thursdays and he only trades when he is feeling good. We ask him if he can at least tell us what we have. He says one is red, one is a cream color and one is green but would need further testing to find out what they do. He says that he usually doesn’t do his testing until Monday. Hikari sweet talks him until he says that he will test them with Joe’s help and they go out to the street. Joe in human form gives off a small continuous flame while everyone else backs up and a crowd gathers around. Mr. Noodles throws a pinch of the cream colored powder into Joe’s fire and it turns from bright yellow to a blue color. The green powder goes through the flame and nothing happens. The crimson powder makes a tremendous flash and explosion of white light. Everyone in the area except Mr. Noodles stands there with a dazed and confused look on their faces. Joe recovers after 1 minute, Blaze and Hikari after 4 min and Allison stays dazed until after 6 minutes. Mr. Noodles thanks Joe for his assistance when he comes to. Mr. Noodles offers him a muffin while they wait but Joe declines. Blaze and Hikari come to and wonder where Joe and Mr. Noodles went. Allison will not respond to them. Blaze goes inside to find Joe. Blaze asks if he figured out what the powders were. The cream colored powder is called Oberth. The green is called Rizen. And the red is called Moon’s Blood. Blaze decides to try and trade with him, but they guy is not in a good mood because Joe didn’t eat a muffin for him. They leave the shop as Allison is coming out of it. Allison wonders if we are going out or in. Hikari looks at some arrows and Flea tells us it is time to go. We go back to the behemoth and travel south for about an hour and a half. We get out of the mountains and see the plains stretching out before us. We see the herd of mammoth brontadons about 10-15 miles away from us. There is a village about two miles in front of the brontadons. At their currant speed it will take 2 hours to get to the village. We can see the largest one in the middle of the herd of 21 that is the leader. We discuss what we are going to do now that we are here. Davis runs out of the room saying that he has an idea. We remember that Mammoth Brontadons have an acute sense of smell. We go to the village and see the people running everywhere. The repel animals doesn’t have any effect on them. Joe tries the thunderclap and that doesn’t work either. Joe bursts into flames upwind from the monsters 100ft away from lead animal. After a couple minutes the animal closest to Joe raises his head and rears back and is looking around a couple of the other animals are looking around, too. Hikari goes into the village to see if they can find help there. He doesn’t find much. We discuse things a lot and Davis gets impatient and flies off with his bags of poo. Blaze goes out to try and put a cloud of smoke in front of the monsters to see if it will stop them and she sees Davis off in the distance in the middle of the herd and we hear over the radio, “Tally Ho” as he drops his bombs right in the middle of the herd. The herd starts moving going faster toward the village. Blaze casts the cloud of smoke. The first one gets to it, doesn’t like it, but doesn’t stop before it is past it. Joe and Allison start shooting fire balls at the monsters, but it doesn’t have much affect. Blaze tries a carpet of adhesion on a spot in front of them, but none have stepped on it yet, so she sticks it on the bottom under the lead one’s foot. She casts the spell and takes off really fast. It stops it’s foot down and keeps going on ripping up a large chunk of dirt. Hikari brings up the chain to try and stop them, but the chain is not big enough. Kylin tries to have a wall of fire, but it is past it before it can react. The people in the village are really panicking now because you can feel the ground shaking. Hikari suggest to Joe to run into the herd leader as fast and hard as he could to try and stop it, he may stop the herd. Joe blows fire past the monsters’ head. Blaze puts clouds of smoke in front of the village. Joe suggest to go to the horns and try to turn his head, but is made aware of the fact that the nose is a sensitive area so he lands on the face of the herd leader and blows flames in his nose. He starts shaking his head like nuts. Joe holds on for dear life and keeps blowing fire in its face. It starts slowing down and Joe continues blowing until it stops and lowers its head and jams it head into the ground. Joe flies away. Allison proposes that we attach the chain to the inside of the nose to turn the head of the herd leader. We recruit everyone that can fly a hovercycle to help us pull the monster. Davis has a better idea than magicing the chain. He says that he is going to punch a hole in the nose with Gerty and put the chain in that way and pull both sides of the chain. Allison says that a sword would work better and so Xestro is pulled into the fight. Davis makes it clear that Xestro cannot ride with him on Kylin’s hovercycle. (She is using one of the old ones.) We all fly toward the lead animal. Blaze is carrying Xestro and they go and land on the monster’s head. Xestro starts sticking a pole spear into the monster’s nose. The flesh of the nostril is about a foot wide, and it is going to take a while until Joe comes and uses his strength then it goes all the way through. He rears up his head. Allison is waiting until the chain is through the nose and does telekinesis to bring the chain to her so she pilots up when the head moves. They thread the chain through and Allison grabs it. The monster starts shaking its head. Allison barley maintains control of her hovercycle as she flies through the air. Xestro is holding on to the chain by the nose for dear life. Blaze starts takes off because the monster is moving too much. She is still holding on to the chain, and as she starts to take off the monster’s head rears back toward her and she jumps off the hovercycle as it goes rolling away. Xestro say, “Wait you’re not supposed to still be here,” as she joins him in clutching the chain right at the nostril. Joe grabs the other side and flies into the air. Allison barley holds on again. Davis and Kylin are trying to grab the chain but it is moving too much. They finally just let go of the chain and the monster settles down. Allison picks up Blaze and they get another hovercycle at the behemoth. With great reluctance, Allison lets Blaze borrow her hovercycle so that she can use her magic while in the air. Xestro suggests that we slowly move the chain to move the monster’s head to the side. Joe grabs both sides of the chain and moves the head and the herd is turned. We leave the chain. We check in on the villagers to make sure they are o.k. The villagers elders insist that we stay and have a celebration. Davis, Allison, Blaze, and Xestro dance, Allison and Blaze don’t do well with the square dance but Xestro does pretty good and Davis learns it well and improves it. Hikari accompanies us with the flute. The children love Joe. We go back to Silverton. Blaze gets a new hovercycle from Northern Gun and they tell us that they still need help with the Grig Leapers. We buy a new chain. Flea goes to celebrate before we leave again. Allison, Xestro, Davis, and Zebulon go with them. Allison is interested in the plaster shop that Davis went to. Blaze studies and Hikari meditates. Hikari hears a knock at the door of the behemoth. Only Joe and Jarl are still there somewhere. Hikari informs everyone that someone is at the door and then he goes and opens it. He sees the strangest sight he has seen on Rifts earth. He looks just like a tourist and there is a sudden flash and Hikari blinks his eyes. The man says, “Thank you mister Elf. This is going in my collection.” He sticks out his hand and says, “Nice to meet you. Billy-bob’s the name and tourist is the game.” Hikari reluctantly shakes his hand. The man pats him on the back and makes his way into the behemoth. He says that he is going with us to see the sight and throws a bag at Hikari saying that is in advance. He is trying to get himself entrenched in the behemoth and Hikari tells him to come back in the morning. Hikari tells the ones in the behemoth what happened. The next morning Onida wonders if the Thredix gives off magic energy, and it does. Blaze cannot absorb PPE from the Thredix. We hear a knock on the door and Hikari yells don’t answer it!! Too late, Davis comes in arm and arm with the tourist. Billy-bob gives us the bag again and Allison spills out as much gems as her hand can handle. Big Dee confirms that the gems are real and very high quality. Allison is holding from about 1-5 million credits in her hand. Allison looks at Billy-bob’s aura and sees that he is a normal human being. Xestro doesn’t feel any feeling of evil or supernatural from him. Billy-bob will not tell us where he is from because that would allow others to go to his dimension. Allison asks him how he travels and he says that he uses his passport book as his key to the megaverse. All he has to do is concentrate on where he wants to go and he is there. Allison asks where he has been and he pulls out his photo album. Everyone but Allison and Kylin are trapped in his conversation as he bores them with his stories. Allison laughs that she is not stuck when she got him to get the album out. He charms everyone and it doesn’t look like the group is going to get rid of him. Allison is all ready to do shopping. There are 47 jewels and we give them to Big Dee to go cash them in. He says that it is going to take a while to cash in the money, so we decied to go and kill the Grig Leapers and then we will sell the jewels.
